Custom Lynx OM2 Fibre Optic Cable – ST/ST

Multi-mode fibre optic cable with ST to ST connectors, orange low smoke zero halogen jacket and 50µm (micrometres) fibre core with 125µm cladding. It supports up to 10 gigabit ethernet at lengths up to 82 meters but is more commonly used for 1 gigabit ethernet applications.

Fibre optic cables use glass threads (fibres) to transmit data. These fibres transmit the data by using modulated light waves. Fibre cables are popular because they have a much greater bandwidth than the standard copper networking cables.
